Fights are going smoothly. Weapons and hand to hand or armed and unarmed. The cast are learning their choreography very quickly and were very eager to get weapons in their hands. Many safety issues were discussed and more are on the way. I'm a safety girl. I think that drives many people crazy at times, but it is me. It is the way I was first taught many years ago getting ready for King Lear and the fights in that behemoth of a show. My biggest issues are making sure the actors stay safe but also that they can sell the fights. This mostly deals with staging and the POW! OOF! SLAM! and BANG! of it. I know they can do it...I just hope what I have put together sells as such. You never know until it all comes together.
